Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru 2002, Clos des Lambrays

Made from different Morey premier cru parcels and young vines from the Clos des Lambrays with 30% new oak barrels. This is a medium red colour, clear but with a fox fur hue. Good evolution on the nose with original aromas like sun-dried tomato and raspberry coulis as well as cassis. Becomes more spicy on the palate as well as the fresh berry fruits leaving a tingling sensation of raspberry and red currant. Needs another 2 years to fully open up.
