Beaune 1er Cru "Les Grèves" 2006, Tollot-Beaut

I sniffed and I snuffed but I couldn't inhale the aromas from this Tollot-Beaut wine no matter how hard I pumped my lungs. At least it looked nice and shiny with a very reflective ruby colour touched by bright fuschia tints. But wine ain't made for the looking. Thankfully once gulped this wine is absolutely tremendous. Super-quality rounded ripe berry fruit, excellent gymnastic balance, produces an enjoyable tingling sensation on the taste buds, lovely suave texture and overall a feminine style. Star wine and not too pricey. Tasted like the other Tollot-Beaut wines referenced hereabouts at the Justerini & Brooks Burgundy tasting.
