Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Au Closeau" 2006, Drouhin-Laroze

This premier cru is a tiny plot at the southern exit of the village. Immediately open, soft, vanillins and cherry nose. Wild strawberry and a hint of celery pepper. Fruit flavours dominated by cherry, savoury and dry finish. Encapsulates the contradictory 2006 elements of ripe and fresh fruits with a soupçon of green apple fruit.
