Meursault 2005, Henri de Villamont

The Henri de Villamont domaine is a Savigny-based négociant with a long history and 10 hectares of their own vines. Medium yellow, a little brassy. Faint and reticent, creamy nose. Unforthcoming. Tangy perars, ripe yellow apple flesh, smooth texture like a lemon tart. Touch of savoury tannins on the finish which is fairly dry. Not terribly entertaining but pleasant enough. This scores a Just Decent. Photo taken on June 23, 2007 in a Meursault villages vineyard.
