Tasted blind at the annual Cambridge University blind wine-tasting team selection tasting. Medium yellow colour suggesting a warm climate. Immediate, unmasked oak, heavy, white honey with an evolution towards orange, honeydew melon. Rounded, rich and a little nutty on the palate, some orange fruit, less dominated by oak compared to the nose, medium weight and quite long. Several people placed this in South Australia but the alcohol isn't hot enough and there is insufficient tropical fruit. Clearly needs another 2 years to spread its wings.
