Pommard 1er Cru "Les Pezerolles" 2005, A-F Gros

Thick colour, licorice nose, plums, damsons really perfumed. Very concentrated fruit, gobs of blackberry and cassis. Excellent fine tannins. Deep and long. Will add weight over time. Untypically will drink well from 2010 after just 5 years due to the extra-ripe fruit. Anticipated maturity 2010-2015 with more complexity and exciting aromas after 2012. Compare with tasting notes for the same wine from September. Photo shows Pommard church in the foreground with Volnay in the background, from June 2007.
