Hautes-Côtes-de-Beaune 2005, Domaine Rollin

The Hautes-Côtes always perform well in sunny years like 2005 and can be green, especially the reds, in normal years. This white Hautes-Côtes de Beaune is an attractive bright yellow colour. Aromas of resin, pine bark, lemon and green apple. The freshness of the Burgundy hills. Softens into walnut oil. Citrus and green fruit flavours with evident tannins and a tart finish. Good value although still a simple wine. The photo shows Mme Rollin taping up a half-case.
