Meursault "Les Vireuils" 2008, Domaine Parigot

Despite being located in Meloisey, this domaine has a full range of Côte de Beaune reds and whites starting with this Meursault. Fresh, hidden, mineral nose. Really mineral, bright and fresh on the palate. Good underlying citrus fruits which are now compact. Elegant style not a big buttery, take-me-into-the-patisserie Meursault. Second aromas of white flowers creep out of the glass. Like some other white 2008s, for instance the Jean Chartron Puligny 1er Cru 2008, this is clearly a vintage that needs time to develop. These will be elegant wines in 2013 for the connaisseur because they may not flatter. Photo shows Meursault and cherry blossom in April 2009.
