Corton Grand Cru "Bressandes" 2009, Follin-Arbelet

I find the Corton grands crus can offer a superb mix of berry fruit and gamey aromas. This Bressandes 2009 from Follin-Arbelet has a pungent and rich nose of black cherry and black berry fruits. Matured with 50% new oak there is real structure, Aloxe granite, good length and savoury notes. An entertaining ensemble that just lacks a sixth gear in terms of fruit depth and weight. Tasted courtesy of the Justerini & Brooks Burgundy 2009 tasting.
