Côte de Nuits Villages "Clos du Chapeau" 2009, Domaine de l'Arlot

This Domaine was created by AXA the French insurance firm in 1987. They mostly produce Nuits-Saint-Georges. Domaine de l'Arlot has built quite a following among wine merchants and private clientele. This Côte de Nuits Villages 2009 has an oak,chalk, tree bark and leafy aroma. Fresh, high-toned, possibly a little green on the palate. A real oddity for the ripe 2009 vintage and I wasn't convinced.
