Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru "Les Bousselots" 2009, Robert Chevillon
The Robert Chevillon domaine has 13 hectares and only produces Nuits Saint Georges. Since I only taste Burgundy I can appreciate this focus. This Bousselots 2009, a lieu dit on the northern edge of the village on the combe that travels to the Hautes Côtes, has black cherries that leap out of the glass and a trifle of cocoa. This is an edgy wine, with a clip of mint leaves, bay leaf and ripe berry fruit. Enjoyable and serious. Will be interesting in 4 years time when it hits the tertiary aromas. Tasted courtesy of the Justerini & Brooks Burgundy 2009 tasting.
