Meursault-Charmes 1er Cru 2009, Domaine des Comtes Lafon

Another superb wine tasted at the domaine which is still becoming itself. This Meursault-Charmes 2009 is today still closed on the nose. On the palate the minerality is clear. The wine is made in a compact style with a cylindrical impression on the palate like a steam train of chardonnay moving over the tracks of your taste buds. As the image suggests, this wine has a lot of energy (lemon), it is fresh, long and elegant. Imagine Cameron Diaz when she was 21 years old. Needs another 5 years to fully express its beautiful personality.
