Pouilly-Fuisse 2006, Domaine Roger Lassarat

Tasting notes from Burgoblog contributors Rameet and Tom under blind conditions. Lemon colour, no, I thought it was more gold. A slightly radioactive look when we first got it. Lemon towards gold. Initial impression of banana. Banana skin and banana chips later. Some green papaya. Sweeter apple after 10 minutes in the glass. Glug glug. Pineapple. Pastille de fruit. Nice fruit boiled sweet. Medium minus acidity. Dry. Medium alchohol. Balanced. Not pronounced. Some fruit flavours. Bananas, melon. Israeli melon? The ones with the cracked up skin. I've never had one like that! You have green, red, water melon. This is not water melon. Not aged in oak. Vinified in stainless steel. Could have been vinified in old oak barrels. Can't we just say some vanilla? I'm not getting any wooden plank on this. Medium length. I score this as 2 glasses out of a whole bottle. I wouldn't want to drink the whole bottle. Lemony finish. Not high alcohol. This is a 2009 aligote. This could be a Meursault-Charmes that went wrong. It has that richness.
