Corton Grand Cru 2006, Thibault Liger-Belair

Tasted at the Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair in April 2012, this Corton grand cru had a huge amount to offer. Incredibly engaging, strawberry, clematis, white chocolate, elegant. The aromas waft down to the lungs. Fresh, lively, berry fruit on the palate with a long impact. A finer style of Corton than the more robust traditional style. Scores 22 - 24 / 30 for a Corton grand cru. Photo shows the back of the domaine's property which is on the Route Nationale through Nuits-Saint-Georges. An island of tranquility  in the midst of the busy viticultural town.
