Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru "Les Petits Plaits" 2010, Domaine de l'Arlot

Another wine tasted at the Domaine de l'Arlot located on the southern outskirts of Nuits-Saint-Georges right next to the route nationale 74. The terroir of this NSG 1er Cu is oolite and hard limestone which is quarried just down the road for masonry in Premeaux. Remarkable nose of aubergine, roast tomatoes, robust, chewy, bon charpente, big, fairly hot finish. Perfect companion for a charcoal-grilled Cote de Boeuf from a butcher's like.
