Meursault "Cuvée Tête de Murger" 2011, Patrick Javillier

This Meursault is priced at premier cru level although it is not a premier cru lieu dit. The benefits of Burgoblog become apparent since I can share with you the tasting notes for the 2009, 2008, 2007 and 2006 vintages! Whatever happened to 2010 I wonder. This 2011 "Cuvée Tête de Murger" from the domaine Patrick Javillier has a full bouquet, a pleasant surprise for the light 2011 vintage, good structure, its long, rather luscious, lemon and orange blossom, good depth, will age gracefully, will be one worth waiting for until 2017. On a par with 2007, but lacks the power and glory of 2005 and 2008. Scores 22-24 / 30 for a Meursault.
