Nuits-Saint-Georges "La Gerbotte" Blanc 2009, Domaine de l'Arlot

Tasted at the Corney & Barrow annual Burgundy tasting at the Tower of London, this rare Nuits Saint Georges blanc offers up aromas of oranges and oats. It is structured, resinous, wheaty and serious. Definitely more for Plato (intellectual) than for Pluto (humourous) despite 2009 being a ripe vintage. Compare with the tasting note from the same wine in 2010 tasted at the domaine in April 2012. Imagine would be splendid with poulet de Bresse in a cream sauce. Mmmmm. Scores 23-25 / 30 for a Nuits Saint Georges blanc.
