Meursault 1er Cru "Perrières" 2011, Joseph Drouhin

This premier cru Meursault from one of the top two lieu-dits in the village is perfumed, still closed, lemon and lime with a soupçon of cardamon.Good structure, mineral, intense. This wine from Maison Joseph Drouhin good representation of the terroir. This Meursault-Perrières 2011, tasted courtesy of Justerini & Brooks at their annual Burgundy tasting scores 20-25/30 for a Meursault 1er Cru. There is definitely scope for a fine, mineral and complex wine to appear although the fruit may not be sufficient for it to attain the stature of a top flight wine.
