Another wine tasted blind in a flight of six whites, this ancient Meursault-Charmes has a stunning golden colour. This rich colour is the prelude to an incredible nose of truffle, truffle oil, slow-poached quail's egg and truffled egg-white omlette. The poached egg and stonking truffle aromas continue for 20 minutes. A touch of acidity, this 35 year old white Burgundy has fallen onto dry vine leaves, dried orange peel, sherried flavour.
