Volnay 1er Cru "Santenots" 2011, Domaine Matrot

Tasted at the domaine, this Volnay-Santenots 2011 showed its class. It kicks off on a cherry pie nose with a good dose of plum. There is an earthy element but the wine is still somewhat closed. Really good concentation, plum flavour, structure, serious. And then lovely ripe cherry flavours on the finish. This Volnay-Santenots 2011 needs another 2 years minimum to open up.
