Morey-Saint-Denis "Les Monts Luisants" 2012, Michel Magnien

Tasted at the domaine this Morey 2012 village impressed the Bourgoblog team. A warm nose with a touch of beetroot, nutmeg and blackberry. It shows the ripeness that could be achieved on the Côte de Nuits in 2012 when growers were willing to wait until late in the season to pick. There is a lot of strawberry and blackberry fruit on the palate with grood ripe tannins, an enjoyable balanced structure rounded by the fruit. Really pleasing for such a youthful wine. Scores 22-24/30 for a Morey.
