Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Caillerets" 2015, Jean-Noël Gagnard

This is one of the finest Chassagne premier cru vineyards on the Chassagne side of the route national. Tasted at the Justerini & Brooks Burgundy tasting this Caillerets is one of the finest white premier cru I tasted across the entire week of Burgundy en primeur tastings. Beautifully ripe citrus fruit on the nose promises intense aromas in a couple of years. It's obvious this wine will be thrilling. Full, elegant, mineral reflecting the terroir. This Chassagne is very, very suave. Very fine. Excellent combination of the ripe fruit of 2015 with the uplifting minerality of the well-drained, limestone soil of the lieu-dit. A spectacular success! Scores 27-29/30 for a Chassagne premier cru.
