Chassagne-Montrachet "Les Benoites" 2012, Domaine Jean Chartron

I first tasted at this domaine in 1993 when it was under the Chartron & Trebuchet brand. I imagine that I should not have driven back to Dijon. Thankfully I can't be prosecuted on the basis of an online confession. Tasted at home in Puligny, this Chassagne from the reliable 2012 vintage has a medium-yellow colour. Apricot and orange blossom nose. Vanilla, apricot, red apple, orange and rhubarb flavours. Plump and a lovely icing sugar finish. Very pleasing wine as always. Scores 70/100 and has reached its apogee.
